Victòria Rabal has a prestigious position in the world of paper art, not just in Catalunya where she is the director of the Capellades Paper Museum, but on a global scale as a founder member of the International Association of Papermakers and Artists. She's worked with Ferran Adrià and Miquel Barceló, and 30 years of exhibiting. This latest collection of works, entitled 'Eel eel', finds myriad meanings in the sea serpents, with their evocation of Medusa, fear, repulsion and attraction. The paper used for the pieces on display was made by hand at Capellades. As well as her artwork, Rabal will also be presenting the book Anguiles/Eels, also created with hand-made paper with text in watermark and silk-screen, inspired by the poem 'Eels' by Richard Schweid.
