'Afganistán' 2 Home
For more than 30 years Afghanistan has been a country in chaos. Through photography, videos, narrative and literary journalism, this exhibition attempts to demonstrate the ongoing conflict and the country's uncertain future.
Guillermo Cervera allows you to build up a picture of the war-torn country with colour images of Afghanistan, supported by three unedited documentary style videos taken by Plàcid García-Planas. 40 anonymous hand-painted works from Kabul civilians then take you closer to the action before François Fleury shows her black and white photo collection alongside a video from Guillaume Fourmont-Dainville. Afghan writer Atiq Rahimi lends his words to the images and closes the show with an extract from his novel El regreso imaginario.
