David Salcedo - 1994
15 photographs by David Salcedo (Murcia, 1981). These works form part of a larger series of 30 photographs which take fragments of reality and transform them into something entirely abstract and evocative. Personal memories, objects and nature become ghostly and expressive through this lens which seeks to distance itself from the tangible and instead find emotions and sensations with which to understand and interpret the universe. In "1994" Salcedo picks up the thread from his previous works which have focussed on childhood, memory and trauma.
