The event aims to provide a business platform for startups, connecting them with resources and boosting their networks, while also establishing a meeting point for entrepreneurs and businesses, investors, and corporations to learn about each other and launch new ventures. It is founded upon the belief that startup culture is the driving force for economic and social change, with Barcelona as a leading global tech hub. 4YFN (4 Years From Now) is recognised as the largest gathering for the mobile industry and number one startup event for doing business, with many activities tailored to helping them grow. 

At 4YFN, guests can take advantage of connecting initiatives, such as custom networking activities, technical abilities workshops, congresses, community outreach and open innovation programmes. The featured programmes of the 2018 edition include a Digital Health and Wellness Summit, which addresses the role of technology in overcoming challenges in the health industry, Hack_D_Gap Global Challenge, which promotes gender equality across the global tech startup community, IMPACT Accelerator, focusing on acceleration programmes for European startups, and Ship2B Social Innovation Challenge, introducing the leading Barcelona-based social innovation accelerator. 

Inspirational speakers, including founders, executives, visionaries and experts from a variety of companies, such as Nokia, HP and Warburg Pincus will share their knowledge and wisdom to startups. Big brands also unite to exhibit and show support to the startup scene, such as Sabadell, Telefonica, SEAT, Airbus and many more.
