It would be difficult to miss the advertisements for the European Championships. One memorable poster depicts a young boy struggling to lift a shot putt, while beside him a professional shot putter stands by calmly, the heavy sphere resting delicately on his shoulder. The message is obvious: this stuff is not as easy as it looks.
