It’s the 17th edition of this biannual event, which brings Catalan designers and budding fashionistas of the city together for a week of style, runways and a sneak peek into what trends are going to be big this autumn/winter. Local designers and up-and-coming brands showcase their latest collections alongside the well-established giants, such as Mango, who boast fashion royalty, models Cara Delevingne and Kate Moss, as the faces of their current collection. Barcelona Fashion Week is the platform from which Catalan designers can launch themselves to international success, following in the footsteps of Custo Dalmau, for example, who will be presenting his collection on the runways of Fashion Weeks around the world shortly after 080. This event will take place in the elegant Casa Llotja de Mar, once the meeting place of 18th-century merchants. With the runway shows also featuring in fashion publications, such as Vogue España, this is the event a la mode not to miss.
