Álbum del Raval - Joan Colom

Álbum Joan Colom, 1958-1964
Long before street photography became cool with the likes of The Sartorialist, Joan Colom was snapping the colourful lives of the residents of the Raval in the Fifties and Sixties.
His anonymous approach allowed him to capture, often unnoticed, the prostitutes, street hawkers and residents of the area in candid, natural poses.
On his death Colom left behind his favourite (many previously unpublished) images to Josep Maria Casademont who, along with the Fundació Foto Colectania, have put together this exhibition which pays tribute to the skills and talent of a great photojournalist.
