Considered one of the best contemporary Catalan illustrators, Roser Capdevila has contributed over 3,000 drawings, lithographs, etchings and stories to the Library of Catalunya (Biblioteca de Catalunya).
She is particularly known for her children's illustrations, which demonstrate a sense of humor and fresh style. Her creation of The Triplets (1983), is undoubtedly her most successful work, having been translated into no less than 35 languages and will be displayed amongst her numerous other pieces at the Palau Robert.
The exhibition will progress through the history of Roser Capdevila including some of her works which have never been published in Catalunya. The first part of the show will link some of her most famous tales with parts of her personal life. The second half of the exhibition is much more intimate, with an array of unpublished work that belong to her private life and to her family and friends.
