The Culture Ministry has committed itself to "promote the creation of a group of experts to discuss the status of bullfighting from a viewpoint aligned with modern times" (read article in Castilian here, La Vanguardia). Ángeles Gonzélez-Sinde, met with Enrique Ponce, Miguel Angel Perera, Manuel Jesus El Cid, Cayetano Rivera, José Antonio Morante de la Puebla, Alejandro Talavante and Julián López El Juli, on Thursday to address the situation in the world of bullfighting. In a press conference held after the meeting, the bullfighters said they were "very happy" with their treatment. Enrique Ponce told reporters that he was thankful for the "degree of understanding and interest of the minister." The ministry have provided a letter which states that "the cultural value of bullfighting is beyond ideological confrontations of any kind and the Fiesta should be put beyond any political and ideological debate." Torero El Juli positively assessed the minister and said that they had been "recognised as artists".
The mayor Barcelona, Jordi Hereu, acknowledged yesterday in Perpignan that the Barcelona appeals to anti-system people from across Europe after it was revealed that of the 60 people of those detained after the riots 35 percent were foreigners (read article in Castilian here, El Periodico). The 35 percent of foreigners detained came from Italy, Venezuela, Romania, Mexica, UK and Andorra. Of the eviction of the old Banesto headquarters, Hereu defended the work of the Mossos on Wednesday. However he did criticise the judiciary by not authorising the eviction of Sunday saying, "If they had decided before then they could leave all this that we are talking about still." The Councilor of Justice, Montserrat Tura, speaking on COM-Radio, also admitted that Barcelona attracts and appealed to anti-system people. "If Barcelona is an attractive city for many things, so it is for someone from another country to come to when called by people of a similar behaviour."

Sandro Rosell, the current president of Barcelona football club, Barça, said of the win "You are gold, we will not let you go. Stay here forever". The police had to block traffic on the street on Roselló where the ceremony was held at the old Fabrica Damm where around 500 people crowed the entrance. The award was rewarded for his 34 goals, scored in the league and this completes a hat-trick of awards won by the Argentine player this year, including the 'Golden Ball' awarded for the European Footballer of the Year, the FIFA World Player. Messi said of his win" I have received many awards but the Golden Boot is something very special. It was thanks to my teammates." Puyol responded by saying, "He is the best in the world and it shows every week. There are some that are very good and they believe it. The best thing about Leo is that he is humble and does not believe it." The president of the azulgrana team, Rosell said "All Barca want to thank you. You are the reflection of the work of La Masia in the last 30 years. You are the first player to have made that his home and become the best in the world."
