Making the news headlines today are the following stories:

LA VANGUARDIA (Castilian/Catalan)

The president of the Generalitat, Artur Mas, has pointed out that at this stage it is impossible to know exactly the degree of success to which the manifestations which took place yesterday have met. He also thanked all those involved for their civility and behaviour stating that 'We have offered the world the best possible image of Catalunya' (read story here); Former FC Barcelona manager, Pep Guardiola, offers his support as regards the issue of independence in a video message recorded in New York (read story here).
