EL PERIODICO (Castilian / Catalan)

Catalan president Artur Mas calls on Catalans to prepare acts of assertiveness as a way to "overcome" the Spanish Constitution; IMF predicts that Spain's spending deficit will pass six percent this year and the next, which is far above the government's objectives; Spanish prime minister Mariano Rajoy says he'll do something similar to Portugal's macro-cuts.

EL PUNT-AVUI (Catalan)

MEPs from the Catalan parties CiU and ICV are to complain to EC regarding the lack of punishment for Real Madrid player Pepe following his hand-stamp on Messi in last week's Copa del Rey match; President of Spanair Ferran Soriano has denied rumours that he is to leave the airline to take up a position on the Manchester City board of directors.
