The following stories are making the headlines in Barcelona today:
MNAC, CaixaForum and the Mies van der Rohe Foundation will form the 'Esplanada dels museus', similar to Berlin or Vienna. Conference centers Alfonso XIII and Victoria Eugenia will be hosting some of the exhibitions. The architect Josep Lluís Mateo is studying an urban redevelopment project in the area (read story here).

Direct Barcelona-Paris TGV trains will not start running in April. The date previously announced, April 28th, cannot be met due to technical problems. However, according to a report published in the journal La Clau, the most likely date for the start could be on May 26th (read story here).
Today in Carrer Numància, in Barcelona’s Les Corts neighbourhood, a patrol of Mossos d’Esquadra found a wild boar. The beast was aggressive and tried to attack the officers. One of the mossos was forced to shoot the animal but the shot ended up injuring a fellow agent’s leg. The agent who received the shot was taken to Hospital Clínic and his condition is favourable. The animal was killed a few blocks away, in the area of Sarrià (read story here)
