Between 1 and 2pm today, Donna Leon will be one of the invited guests signing books at La Central's stand on Rambla Catalunya with Mallorca. The US author has become one of the most popular crime writers of recent times, with her series set in Venice, where she has lived for many years, featuring Commissario Guido Brunetti.
Also signing books in that time slot will be Anglo-Spanish writer John Carlin, whose book Playing the Enemy about Nelson Mandela and the rugby world cup set in South Africa has been made into the film Invictus, directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon.
Also signing books at La Central will be English writer Matthew Tree, whose latest book Negre de Merda explores racism in different countries and cultures. He'll be at the Rambla Catalunya stand between 6 and 7pm.
