The Brandery 2011
Barcelona's main summer fashion event The Brandery, which focuses on urban and contemporary style, has decided for this year's edition to move away from being exclusively for industry only, to create a space that is open to the general public.
The new feature, called, rather awkwardly, Brandtown, a Fashion Xperience, will include concerts, catwalk shows and exhibitions, that will (and I'm reading from the blurb here, clearly), "convert this event into the new 'Hot Spot' of new trends, where the publich and professionals can live, see and experience urban fashion in 360º".
Taking place in the afternoon-evening slot, brands such as American Vintage, Superdry and Tom Ford Eyewear will be on show with the entertainment being provided by, amongst others, Hercules and Love Affair, Nouvelle Vague and Azari.
So, if you've ever pressed your nose up against the glass of the Fira at Montjuïc while The Brandery's been happening in past years, here's your chance to mingle with all those fashionistas.
