US artist Bill Viola, the 2009 winner of the International Award Catalunya, is in Barcelona for the next few days and making various public appearances including this discussion session at La Pedrera tonight, July 1st, at 7pm in the Auditori de La Pedrera de Caixa Catalunya. With a 35-year career to date, Viola is a recognised innovator in the field of video art, with works including virtual architecture installations and made-for-television pieces. Hear him talk about his work this evening in conversation with Antoni Mercader and Frederic Amat, at a session that will also include projections of some of his work.
