• Construction Workers in Born

  I am living in El Born with my housbond and four year old daughter, and I'm extremely worried that the noise from the street at night will effect our stress level and eventurely our health. We are living on the 1. floor right above a champagneria and a tapas bar. And, as if that isn't enough, some construction workers have left two big metal plates to cover a big hole on the street right bwlow our window. Every time a car passes by and hits the plates it makes the most outrageous noise and I wake up.
  Now that I have read the article about 'what you can do', I can't help wondering why The City Council's environment department states on its website that it is not permitted to disturb a neighbour between 9 pm and 8 am, and still sends its city's renovation staff out to take care of the garbage in the middle of the night? Several times I have awoken at 1 or 2 o'clock from big noisy cars emptying containers full og glass and other noisy stuff. Why do they bother their own citicens like this?
