Street dancing is the new black. You only need look at box-office hits such as Save the Last Dance and Step Up to realise what a global phenomenon it’s become. Krumping, popping and b-boying are becoming the buzzwords for anybody who is anybody.

So if you’re feeling a bit out of the loop, and think it’s about time you dipped your toe in the water of this growing trend, there’s no better way than by grabbing yourself a ticket for Brodas Bros.

Barcelona brothers Lluc and Pol Fruitós formed street-dance company Brodas back in 2006, and have been wowing audiences ever since. Though still relatively young, at 24 and 26 respectively, the brothers have appeared frequently on television and in music videos.

Their latest show is the result of an international tour, where they collected a mixture of hip-hop influences from all corners of the globe. Eight professional dancers will be showing off their skills alongside the live percussion and heady hip-hop beats of Jean Philippe Barrios and DJ Kapi. If you’re not yet a hip-hop junkie, you soon will be.

Brodas Bros, Teatre Victòria, Av. Paral·lel 67-69, January 20th to February 14th, €18 to €28, www.brodas.es
